Article 1 (Purpose)

These terms set out the rights, duties and responsibilities of Yakdo 營運團隊 (the “Operator”) and users regarding the use of Yakdo (the “Site”).

Article 2 (Service)

The Site organizes data on health functional foods published by public bodies such as Korea’s Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS) so that you can find and compare products, ingredients, amounts and cautions. The same information may be offered in the app. The service is free; the Operator may change or suspend parts of it and will announce important changes in advance.

Article 3 (Nature of the information)

1. Information on the Site is general reference information and does not replace diagnosis, prescription or advice from a doctor or pharmacist.
2. Health functional foods are not medicines that prevent or treat disease.
3. The data is compiled automatically and manually from public sources and may contain errors in the original data, delays in updates or mistakes in processing. Check the product label before buying or taking a product. Details follow the information notice.

Article 4 (Fairness)

Product order, comparisons, judgments and suggestions are based only on public data and fixed criteria and never change because of advertising fees or partnerships. Any ad or affiliate link will be clearly marked as such.

Article 5 (Members)

Membership is optional and open only to people aged 14 or older. “Ask AI” and viewing full analysis results are available to members only. Members must keep their accounts secure and may delete their account at any time in the app (More > Delete account) or on the web (Account) — see Data deletion. The Operator may restrict accounts that use another person’s information or disrupt the service.

Article 6 (Ask AI and the full analysis)

1. Judgments such as interactions, contraindications and exceeding upper limits are made from public data and fixed rules; AI (Anthropic Claude) is used only to explain those results and public data in plain language. AI explanations may be wrong or incomplete.
2. Ask AI and the full analysis never recommend medicines, diagnose or prescribe. If you take medicines or are ill, pregnant or breastfeeding, talk to a doctor or pharmacist.
3. Daily use of Ask AI may be limited, and you must not include personal information in questions. Questions and answers are stored without identifying who asked and may be reused for similar questions (Privacy policy, section 3).

Article 7 (Prohibited conduct)

• Collecting information in bulk by automated means or placing excessive load on the servers (public APIs may be used within the stated limits)
• Altering the Site’s information to advertise products as if they had medical effects
• Circumventing security, trying to obtain other users’ information, or any unlawful act

Article 8 (Copyright and data sources)

Rights to the Site’s layout, the way data is organized and explanations written by the Operator belong to the Operator. Public data follows each body’s terms of use, and sources (MFDS Food Safety Korea and others) are credited.

Article 9 (Limitation of liability)

The Operator strives for accurate information but is not liable for errors or omissions in the original data or for the results of decisions users make based on the information, unless caused by the Operator’s intent or gross negligence. The same applies when the service cannot be provided due to force majeure such as natural disasters or equipment failure.

Article 10 (Changes and governing law)

Changes to these terms are announced 7 days before they take effect (30 days for changes unfavorable to users). These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, and disputes are settled in the competent court under the Civil Procedure Act.
